Yamaha extends validity of free service, warranty due to lockdown

Yamaha has announced that it will be extending the validity of its warranty and other services for its two-wheelers in India.

The Japanese motorcycle company has said that, given the conditions that have resulted in movement restrictions, customers may struggle to service their vehicles on time or even avail warranty services that may expire during the lockdown situation. Hence, it will extend its promised services, till June 30, 2021, from the date of expiry.

Free services, normal warranty, extended warranty and annual maintenance contracts expiring during the lockdown will get an extension till the aforementioned date. The company has said that it has already notified its dealerships across India so its customers can avail these services in a hassle-free manner.

Yamaha has also decided to suspend manufacturing operations at its plants in Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu) and Surajpur (Uttar Pradesh) from May 15 to May 31, 2021.
