Toyota’s first mass-market hybrid vehicle in India (after the niche Prius, Camry and Vellfire). The Hyryder is available in full hybrid (1490cc petrol engine plus an electric motor) and mild hybrid configurations (called the Neodrive, with a 1462cc petrol engine)
It’s attractive but not very eye-catching. I mean, it looks nice, but it’s not as eye-catching as the first-generation Hyundai Creta or the current Kia Seltos. The Hyryder appears to be more subdued. The cabin is similar to that of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza as this is a vehicle created jointly by both carmakers.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder is the most roomy and longest SUV in its class. Tall adults can easily sit cross-legged in the rear seating area. The hybrid variant’s boot room, on the other hand, is limited due to the battery taking up some space beneath the boot floor.
The most noticeable thing within the cabin cannot be seen and cannot be heard—the cabin is relatively silent most of the time.

Toyota has officially revealed the pricing for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV. The all-new 2022 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has been unveiled in India, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 15.11 lakh. However, the corporation has only published the prices of its top-spec trims, with the prices of lower versions to be announced in a stepwise way later.

As seen in the table above, the powerful hybrid models of the 2019 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder start from Rs 15.11 lakh for the S variant and go up to Rs 18.99 lakh for the range-topping V variant, ex-showroom. This mid-size SUV’s top-spec Neo Drive (mild-hybrid) variant would cost Rs 17.09 lakh ex-showroom.
