It’s set to hit roads by late August or early September 2022 offered in two power station options ie the 1.Neo drive & 2.Hybrid(mild/strong)The Neo drive is a Naturally aspirated 1.5L petrol engine that is non hybrid similar to the engine this makes about 101PS @ 6000RPM with 135Nm torque , while the hybrid uses the same 1.5L engine combined with a AC synchronized motor making around 115PS @ 5500RPM & 114Nm of torque while the transmission is handled by a 5speed manual for the Neo and a 6 speed auto for Hybrid option is provided
, however AWD is available only in Neo drives 5 speed manual ie the high end manual option/fully loaded option , while the hybrid version get 2wd which is also optional on the Neo drive option.
Exterior & interior features:
The front of the Toyota Hyryder hoards a robust hood with a carbon fiber like center Panel on the Grille hoarding DRLs that have chrome band that stretches along with the DRLs , that moves over the fitted LED lamps giving a split headlight with a huge air damp protected by a hexagon styled mesh, massive bumper with integrated square fog lights.
The rear follows a band of chrome that flanges the dual C shaped tail lights ,Rear bumper that also has integrated side guide & indicator lights that add to the over all rugged look with required amounts of black wheel cladding holding those 17inch rims.
Also the interior of high end models feature a 9-inch center touchscreen console & infotainment system 7 inch on base models with heads up display , the TFT(4.2inch base model, 7inch high end)display has various options to choose from engine drive modes , fuel range ,switch from Hybrid to EV mode, Antitheft lock, Guide lights options, Hill assist and hill descent controls & ABS control with simple user interface to be easily adapted Any user also with engine start/stop button Integrated with a selection knob for drive modes on AWD models only*
steering rack and interiors are quite similar as on its partnered Suzuki “brezza”, the 2 tone upholstery is provided in high end models with quite plushy seats yet the side panels and window control are similar like in most recent Suzukis where the quality feels compromised,
To added creature comforts there are front ventilated seats and reclining rear soft leather seats,
Huge Panoramic sunroof A & C type charger port below the rear AC ducts , reading lights and also ample amount of leg room
Although it is 300mm more in length than it’s Suzuki sibling(3995mm) despite both cars sharing the same platform and underpinnings hence this sort of moves it further in wheel base compared to the Suzuki Brezza or the Hyundai Venue.
The trunk/boot has a large storage capacity that assist for 328 Liter volumes of space and detachable two step rack, one cubby on each side and also a rear light with charging port in the right cubby box
