Toyota Camry Hybrid, Vellfire prices hiked

Toyota has hiked Camry Hybrid and Vellfire prices in India. The carmaker had previously hiked prices for its range of cars and SUVs last month though the above two models did not see any changes. Toyota has also made changes to the Yaris’ line-up trimming the variant count.

The Camry Hybrid is now priced at Rs 39.02 lakh, a hike of Rs 1.14 lakh from before. The Vellfire luxury MPV has seen prices go up by Rs 4 lakh to Rs 83.50 lakh. As before, both models are available in single fully-loaded variants.

Toyota has streamlined the Yaris’ line-up with the deletion of select variants. The total variant count is down to 11 from the previous 14. The carmaker has dropped the standard single-tone V trim from the manual and CVT variant line-up with buyers now only able to opt for the more expensive dual-tone V(O) trim.

Additionally, the fully-loaded Yaris is no longer available with a manual gearbox option. The VX trim can now only be had with a CVT gearbox. The carmaker had just last month hiked prices for its mid-size sedan by up to Rs 1.68 lakh along with making the sedan available to government employees on the Government e Marketplace (GeM).
