India’s leading luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz today announced the availability of the all-new GLA and the AMG GLA 35 4M across India where business is operational. Both these SUVs are also available at the company’s online store for those customers who prefer an online purchase.
The GLA’s launch had been delayed from April to the end of May due to the disruption caused by the pandemic. However, based on increasing customer demand, to sustain the business continuity and support the economic sustenance of the retail network, the company has decided to offer these two new products for the customers in the market.
Introductory prices until 30th June 2021:
- GLA 200 (Rs. 42.10 lakhs)
- GLA 220d (Rs. 43.7 lakhs)
- GLA 220d 4M (Rs. 46.7 lakhs)
- AMG GLA 35 4M (Rs.57.3 lakhs)
GLA prices to be revised upwards by up to Rs. 1.5 lakhs from 1st July 2021
The standard GLA is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine is a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged unit producing 163hp and 250Nm. It comes paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and is only offered in the front-wheel drive (FWD) layout.
The diesel unit offered with the new GLA is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that develops 190hp and 400Nm. It comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and can be had in both FWD layout or Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive layout.
Mercedes offers the new GLA with an 8-year warranty on engine and transmission, in addition to the segment leading 3-year comprehensive vehicle warranty.
