Mercedes-AMG GT Black series set a new record

Mercedes-AMG GT Black series set a new record on Wednesday and now has another achievement under its wing. The GT Black Series has set the record for being the fastest production car at the iconic Nürburgring  track.

The Mercedes AMG GT Black Series managed to cover the entire 20.8 km long track in 6 mins 48 seconds which Made a  Gt track name As 6:43. The street legal sports car had specific adjustments done to achieve optimum performance to suit the race track that included the front splitter extended to ‘race’ position, adjustments to the AMG traction control and the camber too.

The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo that manages to offer 730 PS of power and 800 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed AMG Speed shift DCT transmission. The car manages to clock 0-100 kmph in 3.2 seconds and achieves a top speed of 325 kmph. During the track day, the GT Black Series managed to maintain a speed between 270 kmph to 300 kmph.
