The Hyundai Santro has gained two new CNG variants in its line-up – the Magna Executive CNG that’s priced at Rs 5.87 lakh and the Sportz Executive CNG, which is priced at Rs 6 lakh. The two new variants are based on the outgoing Magna CNG variant. Hyundai has also discontinued the higher-spec Santro Sportz CNG variant with this update.
The Magna Executive CNG gets the same level of equipment as the outgoing Magna CNG. It gets a 2-DIN audio system with two speakers, a roof-mounted antenna, manual AC, and steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls. The Sportz Executive CNG, meanwhile, gets a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and a day/night IRVM, over the Magna Executive CNG.
Rivals to the Hyundai Santro include the Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R and Celerio. Of these, the Wagon R and Celerio come with factory-fitted CNG options that are priced from Rs 5.30 lakh and Rs 5.66 lakh, respectively. The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG recently crossed the 3 lakh unit sales milestone, making it the “highest-selling CNG (passenger) vehicle in the country”, according to the company.
