Electric adventure is here. Now there’s a way to explore our beautiful planet responsibly. Introducing Rivian R1S and R1T.
Just like any other electric car manufacturer, Rivian also started off by stepping into the supercar segment. However, the company played it smart and decided to branch out before it disappeared into oblivion. A decade post its inception, the carmaker came out with a product that will change the way we look at the segment adored by people in the States – pickup trucks.

Rivian launched the R1T pickup truck that looked as cool in reality as it does on paper. The other product in its lineup is the Rivian R1S– an SUV with almost similar specs, but in a boxy shape. Both the products are due for a 2021 launch.

Unbelievable spec through out!
The truck will be offered in 2 options, a 180 kWh and 135 kWh battery packs will be available at launch with the 105 kWh to follow in 2021. The truck is 400 miles, or 640km, making it a seriously compelling offering. A truck doesn’t need to be a supercar, but with the battery deployed intelligently, it can reach 100km/hr in just 3.0 seconds.

The Rivian R1T and R1S will go on sale in 2020, hopefully, with prices starting at $61,500 (Rs 42.83 lakh) and $65,000 (Rs 45.27 lakh). The vehicles will be manufactured beginning 2020, hopefully, at a former Mitsubishi plant in Normal, Illinois which was acquired by Rivian in 2017. Bookings are being accepted for both of them in the US with a deposit of $1000 (Rs 69,645).
